A great fantasy continued...: Rangers apprentice Book 6 The Siege of macindaw

Rangers Apprentice (2008)
Flanagan John
Fiction
Keren is Responsible for Poisoning Syron and Then gets to Orman.... The castle is taken over by renegades and will escapes with orman.... They go in search For Malkallam for a cure and find that Malkallam is infact a healer named Malcolm and heals Orman. And to add to all of this wills friend Alyss is captured by Keren and is prisoner in the castle.  With only about 25 Skandians and 35 soldiers in the castle this would seem impossible. Malcolm, the sorcerer who is actually a very skilled healer and a scientist sets up some conjurations that draw the attention of the soldiers in the castle to one side and Then Will and the Skandians Attack....
Will learns how to expect the unexpected. This is taught when will finds out that Keren was behind it all and not Orman or Malkallam.

The book is very grippy and on the edge of your seat. There is a 3rd person narrator that helps understand the book. With this style it takes you into the very center of the book and makes you feel as if you are apart of the adventure.

This book is intended for young adults. It has a good vocabulary that would be difficult for the younger reader to understand. This book Is also appealing to adults so it has a wide range of audiences.

One reviewer from Booklist noted that  the point of view constantly shifted, it is not confusing and also stated, "Will's vivid world will entice fantasy readers who are drawn by the lure of high adventure carried out by believable, down-to-earth heroes."

"filled with rich detail and plenty of edge-of-your-seat thrills"

I would recommend this book to anyone and everyone. It is by far my favorite series.
